How well do you feel you completed the requirements of the week’s assignments?

This week’s assignments were not too bad. I actually had a lot of trouble with the changing the website one. There were just several things working against me on it. My computer, my sucky internet provider, you name it. But overall I feel pretty good about the rest of them. The other two assignments went by much smoother than the first one.

What gave you trouble? What did you enjoy most? What did you learn?

As stated before, the changing of the website proved to be quite difficult. It became very stressful after awhile and I was so glad that I finally got it finished just in the nick of time!

I enjoyed getting the chance to hear other students radio shows and see what cool and different ideas they came up with.

I learned how to use X-ray Goggles in order to change the layout of a website, which is pretty neat but I am not sure when I will ever need to utilize that in the future.

What would you do differently? 

If I could go back in time and have picked a different internet provider, I would but it’s too late now and I will just have to keep nagging them about the awful service my roommates and I are receiving.

What are some of the larger issues surrounding your work? Cultural/Societal implications?

It’s amazing how we are able to change the website layout with the click of a button. I never knew that was possible but now I can see how so many rumors get started. It is so incredibly simple to make a story look real and that is also a little scary. I am not sure how I feel about it and what sort of chaos could possibly come with it. It’s like that radio show drama where everyone actually thought the world was going to end by listening to the broadcast. If someone sees something crazy like that on a changed website, it would spread even faster and more chaos would occur before someone would be able to debunk the rumor or myth.
